Linda L. Fraley, Clermont County Auditor receives the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting and the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting
(Chicago) - The Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting and the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting were awarded to Clermont County by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for it's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) and its Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR). The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management. The award for Outstanding Achievement in Popular Annual Financial Reporting is a prestigious national award recognizing conformance with the highest standards for preparation of state and local government popular reports.
The CAFR and PAFR have been judged by impartial panels to meet the highest standards of the respective programs which includes demonstrating a constructive "spirit of full disclosure" to clearly communicate the County's financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the CAFR and PAFR.
The GFOA is a nonprofit professional association serving approximately 15,000 government finance professionals with offices in Chicago, IL, and Washington, D.C.
