2017 Triennial Update
Ohio law requires the county auditor, under supervision of the Ohio Department of Taxation, to update taxable real estate values to reflect current sales trends three years after a reappraisal. Clermont County’s reappraisal set 2014 values, taxable and payable in 2015. This triennial update sets 2017 values, taxable and payable in 2018.
A common question asked during the process is: How will this affect my taxes? It’s too early to tell, as the State will not send approved tax rates until December. There are also new and expired tax levies that can affect tax bills. We can say that any percentage of change in your property value does not result in a comparable percentage of change in your property tax.
If you have any questions, we encourage you to visit our website at ClermontAuditor.org.
